The quick start guide
Which path through the maze lights you up?
Encountering the project for the first time can sometimes feel like trying to navigate your way through a maze. (OK, so we have to confess that we intentionally designed it that way!) However, like all good mazes, it has more than one path through it.
Lets say, for example, that you are the kind of person that loves to learn all about something before jumping in, if that's you, then our Getting Involved page might be right up your alley. Think of it as the complete reference guide to the maze. In a visual mind-mappy sort of way.
On the other hand, maybe getting your head around the project means just diving in. Lets say that you are more of a learn by doing kind of person. You tend to come to grips with all the nuances and hoops later, when you have more of a reason to know about that stuff.
So, if you would just love to just get started, then read on. The rest of this page is especially for you.
Who is behind The Connection Project?
In case you are curious who are the people behind the project, and what their thing is, you might try poking your nose down this little side corridor. Does it go somewhere?
Practice, practice
OK then, shall we get to it? There are two practice opportunities in this short path through the maze. First we offer a continuously rotating series of 5 Introductory Practice Sessions. These are simple, structured AR games. This series, is to make sure everyone has the basics, and isn't by any means a reflection of the totality of our work. The second offering is an ad hoc series of themed practices, for example we are presently running a series on The Juciness of Consent.
Neither sets of practice are seminars, all our work is very experiential. That's because we believe that people heal and grow most effectively through experiences. Experiences of both relating, and working together. So, we would love it if you would bring along your practice hats and mindsets.
How to join the sessions
First, find something on the schedule that interests you, and which fits your timezone (we are slowly increasing the range of times). You can join either series mid way, that doesn't matter.
Then, we'd love it if you could, well ahead of time:
- read the practice guidelines.
- next you will need a user account,
- then you can join the calls using the schedule.
That's it, in 400 words. So, intrepid navigators of this evolving journey of life, see you in the maze!
